HYREP (noun) [hī-rep] Houston’s Young Real Estate Professionals -A Houston based real estate networking group focused on building relationships within the mortgage and real estate industry and its affiliate groups.
HYREP was created in November of 2003 with the intentions of building a casual based atmosphere to network with professionals within the mortgage and real estate industry. Our focus at that time was to simply bring professionals together on a monthly basis and network. HYREP has sense grown into a recognized
organization and continues to bring more to its members on a regular basis. Our monthly Happy Hours have grown to over 150 - 200 in attendance and we have well over 12,000 active members! We provide continuing education, such as MCE courses for Realtors at no cost, Spanish courses 2-3 times a year and much more. HYREP is consistently adapting to the needs of our members in the hopes of building an
even stronger organization. It’s now our mission to become one of the premier networking organizations in the Houston Metropolitan area.
HYREP Doesn’t stand alone in its efforts! It’s only one division of the YREP team. YREP was originally founded in New York by Mike Strug. He also had a similar vision in bringing real estate and mortgage professionals together to network! When we first decided to create HYREP we contacted Mike to get his permission to carry the same name and to brainstorm on how to make HYREP a success! Mike was eager to have us create a Houston division as he was originally from Houston himself. YREP has now grown into many different states and cities nationwide. With over 12,000 active members in Houston and roughly 20,000 members nationwide!
